: For right triangle, denote lengths as follows: l1 and l2 the legs, h the hypotenuse, and h1 and h2 the hypotenuse segments determined by the bisector of the right angle. For the two given measures, find the other three to the nearest tenth.
h1=4, h2=9
I know that h = 4+9 = 13. I was trying to use the Triangle Angle Bisector Theorem but I don't seem to have enough information.

The Triangle Angle Bisector Theorem is exactly what you need, and gives you plenty of information.

Using the theorem, you can write:

Cross-multiplying gives you:

Now you can substitute in

To get:

I'll leave the rest of the arithmetic to you.
