The height of a triangle is 4 2/3
The base of the triangle is 3/4
I need to find the area of the triangle.
-----------------
Area = bh/2 (base x height)/2
A = (4 2/3)*(3/4)*(1/2)
A = (14/3)*(3/8) I multiplied 3/4 by 1/2 to do less typing
A = 42/24
A = 7/4 square units, or 1 3/4. 7/4 is clearer, and wouldn't be confused with 13/4, as 1 3/4 might. 1.75 would work, too.

The area of a triangle is given by the formula where b is the measure of the base and h is the measure of the height.

.

Just plug in the values and do the arithmetic:

The height of a triangle is 4 2/3
The base of the triangle is 3/4
I need to find the area of the triangle.
;
Area of a triangle A = b*h
:
Change the height to an improper fraction: 4*3 + 2 =
:
A = * *
You can simplify, cancel the 2 into the 14 and you have:
A = * = or 1 reduces to: 1
