if you know the area of a triangle = 60 sq feet and the base is 6ft, what's the height?
.
Because the area of ANY triangle is:
A=(1/2)BH
where
A is the area
B is length of the base
H is the height
.
Plugging in what we know:
60 = (1/2)(6)H
Solving for H, start by multiplying both sides by 2:
120 = 6H
Dividing both sides by 6:
20 feet = H (height of triangle)
