IF YOU HAVE A RIGHT TRIANGLE & THE HEIGHT IS ONE SIDE & THE BASE IS ANOTHER SIDE THEN YOU USE THE PYTHAGOREAN THEOREM:
HERE WE HAVE A=BASE, B=HEIGHT & C=HYPOTENUSE.
A^2+B^2=C^2
