Question 120654: the measure of the vertex angle of an isosceles triangle is 48 degrees. find the measure of a base angle.
Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x = measure of each base angle (there are 2 equal base angles!)
Recall that the sum of the angles of a triangle is 180 degrees.
x+x+ 48=180
2x+48=180
2x=132
x=66 degrees
Check 66+66 + 48 = 180
