Question 1187858: A student drew two triangles. The first triangle had sides of length 3, 5, and 7. The second triangle had sides of length 5, 7, and 9. Are the two triangles similar? Explain or show your reasoning.
My reasoning: No because each side has different factors

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

each pair of corresponding sides has different factors
if two triangles are similar, corresponding sides are proportional
so, if 3%2F5=5%2F7=+7%2F9 then two triangles are similar
since 3%2F5=5%2F7=+7%2F9 is false, two triangles are not similar
