The triangle inequality states that for a triangle with side lengths a,b, and c: a+b>c, a+c>b, and b+c > a all hold true.
By the triangle inequality, x + 8 > 15 --> x > 7
Also by the triangle inequality, 8 + 15 > x --> 23 > x or, equivalently, x < 23
