Re-formulate it in  THIS  equivalent form 

    The hypotenuse of the right triangle is 4 inches longer than the shortest leg.
    The longer leg is 2 inches longer than the the shortest leg.


Then,  if you ever heard about classic  (3,4,5)-right angled triangle,  then the answer will come to your mind
immediately:  the triangle under the problem's question is  6  inches,  8  inches,  10  inches triangle.
