Question 1109594: Tanya has a triangular garden bed in her back yard. The measure of the largest angle is 15° more than three time the measure of the smallest, and the measure of the middle angle is 40° more than the measure of the smallest angle. Find the measures of the three angles. Start your work by defining the unknown quantities in terms of a variable. Show all work and write a complete answer, including units.

smallest=x
largest=3x+15
middle=x+40
They all add to 180 and units are degrees
x+3x+15+x+40=180
5x=125
x=25 deg smallest
x+40=65 deg middle
3x+15=90 deg largest
They add to 180 deg
