Question 1108905: A smaller building standing 30 feet tall is a short distance away from a taller building. Two measurements are made from the top right corner of the smaller building:
the angle of elevation to the top left corner of the taller building is 32 degrees
the angle of depression to the bottom left corner of the taller building is 19 degrees
Find the height of the taller building. Round your answer to the nearest foot.

Draw this to see it.
A straight line from the smaller building across means the angle of sight to the bottom corner of the left building is a transversal and the two parallel lines are a line to the opposite building 30 feet above the ground and at ground level. There is a right triangle with the base the distance between the two and the height a known 30.
tan 19=30/base
base=87.13 feet
Now, for the other one with the angle of elevation
The triangle has a base 87.13 feet long (from before)
The height is the building's height MINUS 30 feet, since the base of the triangle is 30 feet above the ground
tan 32=h/87.13
h=54.44 feet
The total height of the building is 84.44 feet or 84 feet ANSWER
