Question 1108681: One angle of an isosceles triangle measures 110°. Which other angles could be in that isosceles triangle?
Answer by math_helper(2461) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The three angles need to add to and two of the angles are equal, so we have
2x + 110 = 180
2x = 70
x = 35 <— this is the only option, the other two angles are each.
——
If you tried to make the equal angles you'd end up with 2(110) + x = 180 then x < 0 which is nonsensical for a triangle.
