It is 31 degrees.
The angle to the right of 38 degrees is a vertical angle of the known 52 degrees. Two angles of the middle triangle add to 90 degrees, so the third angle is 90. The angle to the right of that is a vertical angle of 59 degrees, and since there is a straight line that is one side of the angle of x, the value of x is 180-90-59 or 31 degrees.
