Regarding the "maximum", all that we can say is  x < 15+7 = 22 cm.


Notice that there is NO maximum value for x in this case.

There is the upper bound only.




Similar for the "minimum".  All we can say is x > 15-7 = 8 cm.


Notice that there is NO minimum value for x in this case.

There is the lower bound only.
