Question 1086102: show that the triangle with vertices A(-1,2)9B(1,-3)and C(3,2) is equilateral
find the area of the triangle ABC with vertices A(2,4),B(-1,-1)and C(4,1/2)
find the equation of the line passing through the point A(-2,3) and B(4,2)

Distance formula is sqrt (difference between x values)^2+( difference between y values)^2. Show that they are all equal
A and B:sqrt (4+25)=sqrt (29)
B and C sqrt (4+25)= sqrt (29)
C and A sqrt (16+0)=sqrt (16). Not equilateral but isosceles
------------------------
Equation of line between the points.
Slope is change in y /change in x
=-1/6
point-slope formula y-y1=m(x-x1), m slope and (x1,y1) point
y-2=(-1/6)(x-4)
y-2=(-1/6)x+(2/3)
y=(-1/6)x+(8/3)
check with other point
y-3=(-1/6)(x+2)
y-3+(-1/6)x-(1/3)
y=(-1/6)x+(8/3)
