Okay, so we all know that the formula for the perimeter of a triangle is the sum of the length of its sides. So
Furthermore, it is stated that the perimeter is 24.
So

We simplify the equation by distributing 10 to (x - 1).

Now add like terms.

Add 6 to both sides.

Now, divide both sides by 15 to get x alone.
