Two sides of a triangle are 11 centimeters and 14 centimeters. What are all possible values for the length x of the third side?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The length of a side of a triangle is less than the sum of the lengths of the two other sides
x < 11 + 14 = 25 cm,
and is more than the difference of the lengths of the two other sides
x > 14 - 11 = 3 cm.
Answer. 3 cm < x < 25 cm.
