Due to similar triangles, we have the following relationships
:
h^2 = 9(x-9)
y^2 = 9x
36 = (x-9)(x)
:
36 = x^2-9x
:
x^2-9x-36 = 0
:
(x-12)(x+3) = 0
:
x = 12 and x = -3
:
we want the positive value for x
:
y^2 = 9 * 12
y^2 = 108
y = square root(108) = 6 * square root(3)
