 Hi there,
Consider your ladder against
the wall is a right angled triangle.
Hypotenuse = 2 meters
Adjacent = Distance the base of ladder to wall.
Cos = Adjacent/Hypotenuse
Cos(60) = Adjacent/2m
Adjacent = cos(60) x 2
Adjacent = 1
Distance from building to
the base of the ladder = 1 meter.
