what is the measure of the vertex angle of an isosceles triangle if one of its base angles measures 42 degrees and its congruent sides each measure 9cm?

If one base angle is 42 degrees, the other one is too!
Therefore the vertex angle is
180 - 42 - 42 = 96 degrees
