The perimeter of a rectangle is given by the formula,
P=2W+2L=46
You also know that,
W=8
From the perimeter formula,
2W+2L=46
2(8)+2L=46
16 +2L=46
2L=30
L=15
The area for a rectanlge is given by the formula,
A=L*W
A=8*15
A=120
The area of the rectangle is 120 sq. inches.
