Question 339885: I am not sure how to set up this problem: The average monthly high temperature (in degrees Fahrenheit) in Cincinnati for the first 10 months of the year can be modeled by the equation y+=+0.21x%5E2+%2B+2.24x%5E2+%2B+2.33x+%2B+33.67+ where x = 1 corresponding to January. What month is the high temperature most likely to be close to 75 degrees?
Thank you so much (I am encouraged to use a TI84 graphing calculator, but that is new to me so I am having trouble with that as well.)

Question 342986: Please solve algebraically:
2x^2 + 2y^2 + 4x = 6y
x^2 + y^2 + 2x - 3y = 1
For the first equation, I was able to divide everything by 2 and complete the square. After, I completed the square I factored it and got the answer:
( x+1)^2 + (y-3)^2 = 0
I did not know what to do after that though, it would be easy to solve the with a graph, but I cannot figure out how to solve both equations. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much!

I do not know really where to start on this one, I would think that you would complete the square for the second equation to begin. However, after that I do not know what to do with the first equation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this seems difficult to me, thank you so so much!
