Question 127357This question is from textbook
: Please help, I'm stuck!
(Modeling)
In electronics, circuit gain is modeled by
G = Bt/R + R(base)t
Where R is the value of the resistor, t is temperture, R(base)t is the value of R at room temperture t and B is constant. The sensitivity of the circuit to temperture is modeled by
S = BR/(R + R (base)t)^2
If B = 3.7 and t is 90 K, find the values of R and R (base)t that will make G = .4 and S = .001.

Question 128657: ok this one I really do not understand becuase they do not give me a value for x or anything.
Part A) Calculate the value of the discriminant of x^2+x+3=0
Part B) by examining teh sign of the discriminant in part a, how many x-intercepts would the graph of y = x^2+x+3 have? Why?
I know that to get the discrimant the equation is b^2 - 4ac, and that if the discriminant is positive the the solutions will be real numbers, and if it is a negative you will have two complex solutions. but how do I solve this if I do not know what the value of b is or the value of A and C

Question 128698:
I need assistance on solving systems of equations in three variables, by elimation. The question is 2x-y+Z=5 6X+3Y-2Z=10 X-2Y+3Z=5. I'm not sure how to begin this, I know you need to elimate a variable. Can I lines the first and second equation and elimate the y variable? thanks
