Question 979440: X-y=3 and x+y=8 then what does x^3-y^3 equal and how.

Answer by anand429(138)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x-y=3 and
x+y=8
Adding both, 2x = 11
=> x=11/2
Putting back y= 5/2
so,
x^3-y^3 = (11/2)^3-(5/2)^3
=(11^3-5^3)/8
=(1331-125)/8
=603/4
