Question 972410: Hello! I need help on solving these systems of equations, quadratic
, Found 2 solutions by amarjeeth123, MathTherapy:Answer by amarjeeth123(569) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website! 9y^2+77x-190=0..........equation 1
14x^2-9y^2-7x-6=0.......equation 2
9y^2=190-77x............equation 3
Substituting equation 1 in 2 we get
14x^2-9y^2-7x-6=0
14x^2-190+77x-7x-6=0
14x^2+70x-196=0
x^2+5x-14=0
x^2+7x-2x-14=0
x(x+7)-2(x+7)=0
(x-2)(x+7)=0
x=2
Substituting in equation 1 we get,
9y^2+154-190=0
9y^2=36
y^2=4
y=2
x=2 and y=2 is the solution. Answer by MathTherapy(10552) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Hello! I need help on solving these systems of equations, quadratic
,
---- eq (i) ------- eq (ii) ------- Adding eqs (ii) & (i)
(x + 7)(x - 2) = 0
x + 7 = 0 OR x - 2 = 0
If x = - 7 ---- eq (i)
Thus, we get:
If x = 2 ---- eq (i)
Thus, we get:
