two investment were made totaling $15,000.for a certain year these investments yielded $1432 in simple interest.part of the 15,000 was invested at 9% and part10%. Find the amount invested at each rate.
My work
A)let x=$ invested 9%
. y=$ yielded $1432
B) 10�9%=9.
. 10�10%=10.
cd)x+y=15,000
. 9x+10y=1432

0.09*x+0.1*y=1432
x=15000-y
0.09*(15000-y)+0.1*y=1432
1350-0.09y+0.1*y=1432
0.01*y=82
y=8200 at 10%
x=15000-y
x=6800 at 9%
check
0.09*6800+0.1*8200=1432
612+820=1432
1432=1432
