Question 876502: 3x+6y=114
X=4y+8
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3 x + 6 y = 114 .............1
1 x -4 y = 8 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by 2
Multiply (2) by 3
6 x 12 y = 228
3 x -12 y = 24
Add the two equations
9 x = 252
/ 9
x = 28
plug value of x in (1)
3 x + 6 y = 114
84 + 6 y = 114
6 y = 114 -84
6 y = 30
y = 5
x= 28
y= 5
