a) x^(2/3) + x^(1/3) - 6 = 0   | Let 

  X^2 + X - 6 = 0

(X -2)(X+3) = 0

(X +2)= 0 , X =  2    0r  x = X^3,  x = 8

(X-3) = 0  , X = -3   0r  x = X^3,  x = -27

CHECKING our Answer***

 4 + 2 - 6 = 0

 9 - 3 - 6 = 0
