3x^2 - 5y^2 = -68
5x^2 + 3y^2 = 68
:
multiply the 1st equation by 3, mult the 2nd eq by 5
9x^2 - 15y^2 = -204
25x^2 + 15y^2 = 340
--------------------addition eliminates y^2
34x^2 = 136
x^2 = 136/34
x^2 = 4
x = +/-
x = +/-2

Find y
5(2^2) + 3y^2 = 68
3y^2 = 68 - 20
3y^2 = 48
y^2 = 48/3
y^2 = 16
y = +/-4
