Question 687386: how would you solve this problem using the substitution method for system of equations for this problem 2x-3y=12 x=4y+1
Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x-3y=12
x=4y+1
substitute x in the first equation
2(4y+1) -3y=12
8y+2-3y=12
5y=12-2
5y=10
y=2
plug y =2 in the second equation
x=2*4+1
x=9
x=9, y=2
