Question 651433: factor -2x^3 + 2x^2 + 4x
Answer by swincher4391(1107)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First, notice we can factor out a -2x out of the equation.

Now we have x^2-x-2, a quadratic.
Notice that we have two integers that add up to -1 and multiply to -2, namely -2 and 1.
Then we have which is our factored form.
Hope this helps!
