Question 486338: SOLVE
If p < x < q and r < y < s and you know that x > y is true, which is correct:
A) r < q
B) q = s
C) p < r
D) p > r
This is how I thought about this:
p < x r < y x > y
x < q y < s
p < q r < s
But it brought me to consider:
A) is true; B), C) & D) are False.

A is correct. r is less than y; y is less than x; x is less than q, so r < q.
