Question 48596: Is there a difference between solving a system of equations by the algebraic method and the graphical method? Why?
Answer by tutorcecilia(2152) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Yes, the algebraic method is more precise. When you "solve" a system you are really identifying the points that all of the lines have in common. In other words, the point at which the lines intersect.
.
Finding the solution with graphs is not precise, but should usually be close enough if that is what is asked.
