Question 464864: solve the system of equations using elimination 18x+3y=18 and -8x+2y=-8 type an ordered pair
Answer by sofiyac(983) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
+18x+3y=18 multiply this one by 2
-8x+2y=-8 mulitply this one by -3
+36x+6y=36
+24x-6y=24 now add them
-----------
60x=60 divide each side by 60
x=1, then plug that into one of the original equations
-8*1+2y=-8
-8+2y=-8
2y=0
y=0
