Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A+C=7 OR A=7-C
21A+14C=119
REPLACE A WITH (7-C) IN THE SECOND EQUATION & SOLVE FOR C.
21(7-C)+14C=119
147-21C+14C=119
-7C=119-147
-7C=-28
C=-28/-4
C=4 CHILDREN.
A=7-4=3 ADULTS.
PROOF:
21*3+14*4=119
63+56=119
119=119
