Question 308495: A ladder 16 ft long makes an angle of 68 degrees with the ground as it leans against a barn. How far up the barn does the ladder reach

the ladder , ground and the wall form a right triangle
ladder = 16 feet
angle with ground = 68deg
sin 68 = vertical length / hypotenuse
sin 68 = vertical length / 16
16 sin 68 = vertical length or height of ladder from ground
16 sin 68 = 16*0.9272
= 14.83 feet
