Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
X+Y=22 OR X=22-Y NUMBER OF SHOTS TAKEN.
2X+Y=36 POINTS SCORED.
REPLACE X WITH (22-Y) & SOLVE FOR Y.
2(22-Y)+Y=36
44-2Y+Y=36
-Y=36-44
-Y=-8
Y=8 FOUL SHOTS WERE MADE.
X=22-8=14 TWO-POINTERS WERE MADE.
PROOF:
2*14+8=36
28+8=36
36=36
