Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5x+3y=19 MULTIPLY BY 5
2x-5y=11 MULTIPLY BY 3 & ADD
25X+15Y=95
6X-15Y=33
------------------
31X=128
X=128/31 ANS.
2*128/31-5Y=11
256/31-5Y=11
-5Y=11-256/31
-5Y=(11*31-256)/31
-5Y=(341-256)/31
-5Y=85/31
Y=(85/31)/-5
Y=(85/31)*1/-5
Y=-85/155
Y=-17/31 ANS.
