what is x

Answer by dabanfield(803)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-4(3+x)+5=4(x+3)
what is x
Expand the above:
-12 - 4x + 5 = 4x + 12
Add 4x to both sides of the equation:
-12 + 5 = 8x + 12
-7 = 8x + 12
Substract 12 from both sides:
-19 = 8x
Divide both sides by 8:
-19/8 = x
