word problem: 3 times the least of 4 consecutive integers minus the greatest of the integers equal the next to the least integers
---------------------
The integers are:
n, n+1, n+2, n+3 in order
3n - (n+3) = n+1
2n-3 = n+1
n = 4
--> 4, 5, 6, 7
--------
3*4 - 7 = 5
12-7 = 5 so it's correct
--------------------
why do you call that a "word problem?"
