Here's my try: -3x=6

Not sure what to do on this.

Start with the first equation.

Subtract from both sides.

Divide both sides by to isolate .

Rearrange the terms and simplify.

Combine like terms on the left side.

Add to both sides.

Combine like terms on the right side.

Simplify.

Since this equation is NEVER true for any "x" value, this means that there are no solutions.

So the system is inconsistent.
