lets call the number of 6 dollar sales x and the number of 11 dollar sales y.
:
x+y=37000.......eq 1----> x=37000-y
6x+11y=262000...eq 2
:
take x's value from eq 1 and plug it into eq 2
:
6(37000-y)+11y=262000
:
222000-6y+11y=262000
:
5y=40000
:
number of $11 tickets sold
number of $6 tickets sold
