Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2-3/4z=1/8z+9
-----------
Get all the z terms on the same side, the numbers on the other side.
-3/4z - 1/8z = 7
Add the z terms
-6/8z - 1/8z = 7 (3/4 = 6/8)
-7/8z = 7
Multiply by 8z
-7 = 56z
z = -7/56
z = -1/8
