5-(2)/(x-6) = (10-2x)/(x-6)
I know that first i have to find the LCD which is 6, then multiply that times both sides of the equation. I also know that the answer will be x=6 because of the denominator (it has a variable)and it can't possibly be a solution. Can you help me set this equation up step by step so that i can see exactly how the answer is obtained

Notice that if you multiply both sides by x-6,
5(x-6)-2=10-2x
(5x-30)-2=10-2x
5x-30-2=10-2x
5x-32=10-2x
5x+2x-32=10-2x+2x
7x-32=10+0=10
7x-32+32=10+32
7x+0=7x=42
x=6

We all know that division by ZERO is undefined therefore there is NO SOLUTION
