How to write an equation in standard form? The equation I am trying to convert is:
y-3=1/2(x-6)
Thank you in advance!

Answer by checkley71(8403)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y-3=1/2(x-6)
y-3=x/2-6/2
y-3=x/2-3
y-x/2=-3+3
y-x/2=0
(2y-x)/2=0 CROSS MULTIPLY.
2y-x=2*0
2y-x=0
IS THIS WHAT YOU NEED???????
---------------------------------------------
Y-3=1/2(X-6)
IF YOU WANT THE STANDARD LINE FORMULA THEN:
Y=3+X/2-6/2
Y=3+X/2-3
Y=+X/2 ANSWER.
