Question 117338: Is it possible to get the hypotenuse of a right angle when only knowing the length of one side of the angle. I have a right angle which has the base of 35mm
and I do not know the other side or the hypotenuse, What is the formula and/or the hypotenuse of the other side.

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You have to know one of the following:
1. one of the angles; then use trigonometry
2. how the other side is related to the side you know;
such as "The remaining side is twice the given side".
3. the scale of the drawing for your problem.
