Question 979206: the side of a square hall is 15 meters each.if square tiles of side 1/2 meters each had to be used to pave the floor, how many tiles will be needed? the tiles come from the shop in boxes having 100 tiles in each box. how many boxes of tiles have to be purchased to cover the floor completely??

Hi there,
If the hall is square with
length = width = 15m
then, 15/0.5 = 30
so, 30 x 30 tiles would be required
= 900 tiles.
If the boxes have 100 tiles in each
box, the 9 boxes would be required.
Hope this helps:-)
