Question 888936: The two sides of a triangle are in the ratio of 13 : 14. If the third side and perimeter of the triangle are 30 cm and 84 cm respectively, find the area of the triangle?
Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
84-30=54
13x+14x=27x
27x=54
x=2
The first two sides are 26 and 28.
We now have three sides 26,28,30.
Using heron's formula, we find that the area is 336
