Question 872078: Hello I have a question about surface area. The problem has a picture of a hexagonal pyramid with a slant height of 12cm and a side length of 4cm. The question says to find the surface area. I have used the formula, Google, and my parents but no one gets any of the answer options. It is A.144cm B.144+24 radical 3cm C.196cm and D.288cm. I would love some additional help!

Each triangle has a height of 12 and a base of 4.
The area of each triangle is
There are 6 triangles.
So then,
That's answer a).
I'm assuming you don't include the area of the hexagonal base (?).
The hexagonal base would add
But if you add that you'll get answer b).
So I guess you need to make the choice.
