Question 856376: The volume of a cylinder with the height to radius ration of 4:1 is 108π cm cubed. What is the radius and height of the cylinder?
Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
volume of cylinder = pi r^2h= 108 pi
height to radius ratio = 4:1
let k be the common factor
height = 4k
radius = k
pi * r^2 h = 108 pi
pi * k^2* (4k) =108pi
4k^3 = 108
k^3=108/4
k^3 = 27
k=3 cm
r= 3 and height = 12cm
