Question 760844: What is the lateral area and the surface area of a right cylinder that is 10 feet high and has a base with a radius of 5 feet?
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Lateral area = Circumference * height
= ( Pi * diam) * height
= 314.16ft^2
Surface Area = 2 Pi r^2 + 2 Pi r h
2 * Pi * 5^2 + 2 * Pi * 5 * 10
= 157.08 + 314.16
= 471.24ft^2
Hope this helps.
